THE SNOWS OF KILIMANJARO relates the story of a rootless expatriate, Harry, who is awaiting death in a safari camp at the foot of the snow-capped Kilimanjaro. Harry, who is honest to his own standards, sincere and courageous, is looking back upon his life: the violent experiences in World War I in Austria and Italy and the horrors of the Greco-Turkish war.
