They met in a university classroom: he teaches Greek, she is a student of the course. He is slowly going blind. She has lost her voice, but tries to speak. They look at each other curiously. Soon they both realise that they share a deeper pain. She lost both her mother and custody of her eight-year-old son a few months ago. He is still hurting from growing up between Korea and Germany, living in a state of tornness between two cultures and languages and in fear of losing his independence. Gradually, the two become closer, their voices intertwining with a strange beauty as they both move from darkness to light, from silence to breath to expression.
