Beethoven: Stradivari Voices

It is not often that one can listen to the extraordinary sound of three different violins built by the famous violin builder Stradivarius on one recording.

Fontanella, accompanied by Salinaro, has recorded three of the earlier Beethoven sonatas, each with a different violin. The result is quite astonishing as one can hear the very distinctive sound of each individual violin.

These three outstanding instruments are now all part of a private Italian collection. They appear here entrusted to Fontanella-Salinero thanks to the kind consideration of their owner.
